About the competition
The Conference League is UEFA's third-tier club competition and the one with the most heart. Small clubs, long trips to the edges of the continent and nights when the favourite drops points on an artificial pitch somewhere up north. For Czech fans it has extra appeal, because Czech clubs are regulars here.
The league phase has thirty-six teams and six rounds from October to December, each side facing different opponents and one table deciding who goes on. The knockouts follow in spring, all the way to the final. Games are played on Thursday nights, often alongside the Europa League, so Thursdays get busy.
An exact score earns the most points, the correct winner fewer. Your pig doubles the points on one match, and in a competition this full of surprises it pays to place it carefully. Predictions lock five minutes before kick-off, and notifications flag anything you have not called yet.
